Well, it’s been a while.
I haven’t written anything on any blog since I got on Facebook 4 years ago. That social networking site that feels like an ongoing conversation, I assume we’re all talking to each other.
But there was Multiply, my short-lived stint as a blogging doorman (Multiply, once very popular in the Philippines as a pre-Facebook phenomena, now an Ebay ghetto.) Though there is still that Blogspot site, sadly now reduced to a useless newsfeed for my “art adventures”. So my writing- languishing, half-deep in summer, soul-sick and under-friended, I decided to make this blog.
Usually I would have a unifying “theme” for any endeavor online, like what I am currently listening to @tengalistening, what’s on @_sabaw (my curatorial platform, SABAW Media Art Kitchen), my dog, or my micro rants.
(Feel free to use this time to click on all those links. I promise, there won’t be any more after this sentence.)
This site won’t have any particular unifying theme. I’ll write and post about anything from documentations of current projects and/or works-in-progress, inspirations, bursts of wisdom, discoveries, travel journals, what I am currently doing, shameless plugs, cinema, notes on nothing in particular, notes on something peculiar, excerpts from letters to people I know, lots of photos, videos, music, recommendations, more shameless plugs, and hopefully some well-thought of essays to not-so random ranting.
I promise not to write too much about art.
I have a site for that: www.tengalgorhythm.com (which is under-construction, like this blog.)
I’d like to thank the generous Debbie Ding for letting me squat on her web home. She lives online, well, almost literally.
Check out bits and pieces of her omniscient online presence: here, here, here, here, here, and here.
(Yes I lied. I promised no more links.)
So please do stick around, I actually might learn something.
